The COVID-19 pandemic, apart from showing us its vicious form by claiming millions of lives across the world, also brought to light the highly fractured structure of our healthcare system. While the world was trying its best to save people from this deadly situation; vaccinations came as a ray of hope in these grim times. But, along with it came the tsunami of misinformation causing vaccine hesitancy leading to millions of people refusing to take the jab.
In India, some people were actively looking for credible scientific answers to their questions and were hesitant to take the vaccine owing to the false information floating around. While some sections were totally apathetic towards it, certain others did not have access to information in a form or language that they could understand.
This fragmented health information availability inspired us to build Immunise- an all inclusive one stop scientifically credible information portal for vaccinations being used in India.
We have a team of doctors and public health experts who collect, curate and validate the latest scientific information and health communications experts who translate these complicated scientific facts to simple and digestible pieces of information in over 11 regional languages. This is then converted to various creative forms like infographics, animated videos, comic strips, stickers, etc both digitally and manually. At every step we have strong institutional partners and collaborations to ensure that only the most accurate scientific information is made available to the people in the simplest form.
Through Immunise, we are addressing both- vaccine hesitancy and vaccine apathy through an amalgamation of hard science, creative methods and technology.
